Hi everyone,
I have been inserting nuts in my prints for awhile now, but have always had to watch the progress and pause at the correct height by using the ‘change filament’ option. Then once I have placed the nuts, I continue the print.
I have asked Simplify3D for help, but they say that this is not possible on the Replicator 2. Are they correct? or do any of you know a way that I can program the pause in? so that I do not have to keep an eagle eye on the progress.
If I could take the manual interruption out of the process, it would make life a lot easier.
Thanks in advance,
Tony

If you are running Sailfish firmware, you can enter a “Pause at zpos” directly into the front of the LCD, after the print starts.

That sounds too easy! I will definitely give that a go, thanks. Does it clear away from the nozzle, or just sit at the zpos?
It moves to the home position.
It can also be used to change filament, such as to a different color.
