I can print just about any print that fits within the volume of my printer in 3-4 days. However, I expect that the average print will be finished in 2 days, since most customers won’t be ordering a two foot tall object.

I also assume this order completion applies to single objects. However, a customer can upload multiple objects to print. No matter how many objects the customer sends, the order completion time of two days still seems like the applied number. For example, someone just requested me to print 11 different large objects. Surely, we can’t be expected to print 11 objects in the original order completion scope. I note it on the comments to the customer, but it seems slightly misleading to a customer to say that time frame for “ANY” print job.

What is the general interpretation of this date to everyone else out there?

Hi Thomas,

The purpose of this time scope is to give the customer an idea of what time to expect for the average order. If a person is giving large objects or mass quantities then they should expect it to take longer for the order to be completed. My time scale is 5 working days to be flexible if something similar to your case comes up.

I would advise that you are better giving a longer period of time, so the customer accepts it if it takes a while to print. I’ve found it is always better to have a flexible deadline and send a print early, than have a near impossible time to meet and get caught up with delays. Customer satisfactory is key for the future of a hub. In your case you should reduce your time as two days isn’t long, but it is good that you have contacted your customer to notify them.

I hope this helps
