Hi There,

I wanted to buy a portable 3D scanner and I was pleased with a scan from a Structure Sensor (considering the price of the scanner).

Looking around online I saw that the iSense is practically identical, but I can’t seem to find any info on a comparison between the two.

Anyone can help me to understand if there is any difference or if it is the same product re-branded? Is the iSense compatible with all the software/apps for the Structure?

Thank you

Mario

The hardware is the same. Occipital developed the sensor, but dropped the support for the iSense.

Two reviews might be helpful;

I see that @DeGrazendeSlak mentioned my post.

Coincidentally, I wrote a post last week (because of the 80% discount on the iSense) that answers your question in detail.

There’s indeed a small difference between the two that is just emerging now:

I got the information in the about the firmware directly from Occipital. So it’s up to you if that would affect your purpose and how it would weigh up agains the price difference!

Cheers!
