Hello,

I have a Prusa steel printer with modified extruder system in order to be able to extruder a wide range of materials from PLA to flexible and even high temperature ones like Nylon.

The problem I found is when setting printer prices there is not a material option for FDM “Nylon” alone it just appears like “High impact Nylon”.

The problem is that when I have found that my hub does not appear in the list when selecting “FDM Nylon” as material.

It seems that the system does only consider Nylon for SLS technology but not for FDM.

How can I appear as a HUB for Nylon material?

Regards

Hi there,

FDM Hubs can definitely offer nylon, this isn’t limited to SLS Hubs only. What brand of nylon do you have, for example Taulman’s Nylon 230?

Hello Maddie, Many thanks for your answer. I currently use Taulmann 645 grade but I prefer to be able to set a generic Nylon material like we have available for PLA or ABS. In this way, the customers don’t need to search for a specific grade. They normally are not experts on FDM filaments.

I totally understand your stance on that. When a customer selects “Nylon,” it’s treated as a group and includes Hubs offering all of these variations (for FDM):

Taulman: Bridge Nylon, Nylon 618, 645, 680, and 230, Alloy 910, as well as Ion Nylon Alloy, and Matterhackers Nylon X

So feel free to list the exact one you have, and you’ll appear
