hey i just got my ctc today got out out the box levelled the bed opened cura to slice my fist test print. saved the gcode to my sd card, when i put it in the printer there is nothing to print from the sd.

Is it your SD card or one that came with the machine? If it is yours then the card is probably the issue. Could need to be formatted a different way from current or the printer just won’t read that type of card. I have some older ones I came across in a drawer but even after a format the printer doesn’t read them.

it is the one that come with it. i have tried using other slicers the only thing it read are the files already on it that are .x3d ?
If you add an X3D file it doesn’t see it?
cure doesn’t save it as that just .gcode
That may be it. The CTC is one that uses X3G. Check this out.
You need to set up cura to use GPX to postprocess into X3D.
The SD cart has write protect switched on ?
