I have a CTC printer with a few problems

1. unable to get it to connect to Replicator on my laptop which has windows 8.1 operating system

2. I am using Cura slicer and GPXUI to load a file on to the SD card, then when I load it in the printer and try to print, everything wants to print right hand back corner of the printer. I have tried changing setting to get it print in the center of the build table.

What any I doing wrong??

I have a CTC printer and have modified by enclosing and adding 3 heaters of the type used for reptiles along with a temp controller (about £6 from China via E bay, these mods proved a great improvement.

then I purchased SIMPLIFY 3D (£100 ish) this was well worth the cost although I am still getting to know all the settings that can be adjusted and am now trying fresh materials, having stuck to ABS &PLA HOPE YOU FIND MY EXPERIANCES INTERESTING

Install the printer drivers while in windows safe mode. I had the same problem and that fixed it.

Hi David, I am thinking of getting a CTC printer BUT, i have win 10 installed on all of my computers, would you think your way of dealing regarding win 8, would or should, work with win 10?, or, do i just go out and get an old win XP Pro system and run via that?.

hi tom I have a CTC and it works fine on win 10 would also recommend SIMPLIFY 3D SOFTWARE

which I think is fantastic ps I am 69 and still trying to decide what I want to be when I grow up
