I am about to buy my first 3D printer and I think the Creator Pro is for me. I have done a lot of reading on the net and I need to check I understand a couple of thing before I buy it.

I want to print Nylon (possible PC as well) at 255-260C and as standard the Creator Pro won’t do it. I believe that I need to do 2 upgrades to make it possible:

1) Install all metal hot ends - micro swiss seem to be highly thought of.

2) The Creator Pro won’t go past 250C on its control panel BUT if I run the printer using the Simply3D software then it will go higher.

Am I correct in what I have read of the net or am I about to buy the wrong printer?

Thanks all
Mark

You are correct on needing all metal hot ends (Micro-Swiss is a good one and good support) for temps above 230. The reason is the PTFE tubes will not handle temps above that very well for very long.

If printing these high temp filaments is only going to be occasional you might consider only changing one hot end, most likely the right or non fan side - ABS side. PLA likes the PTFE setup a little better than all metals. I run PLA with my all metals but it took a bit to get it to behave!!

On the temps, I can’t remember how high I have run mine! I can try to remember to check but probably not until the weekend.

Thanks wirlybird, I was intending to change both hot ends but now I will just do one and experiment from there.

If you could check on the temperature at the weekend and let me know it would be most appreciated.
