Hello my name is Cody and I recently built a new anet a8 prusa i3 printer and it all went well and turns on but when I move the z axis I believe with the up and down rods(2 of them) the right one turns but not the left, but u can hear the left try? When u move the x axis to the top of the z threads it goes to the bottom just fine! But then when I go back up from the bottom the left seizes and makes a loud clicking noise? Resonances much appreciated!
First thought is that the rod is binding somewhere. Remove the X axis and try to run the Z and see if the rod turns ok on its own. Then see if the “nut” that threads on turns ok
