I got this little printer, and did a couple of prints from thingiverse without issue. This was after I updated the firmware and UI.
I tried to do a couple of new models and I opened them in Cura, scaled them down, and save to SD. tried to print it and the printer bed came all the way forward, print head all the way to the right and ratcheted there until I cancelled the print. I made sure the size of the filament I was using was correct, (1.75). so I am at a loss to explain this.
Can anyone offer any advice, besides buy a different printer.
Thanks!

Do you have cura configured for the correct sized bed? From a 100’ overview it sounds like it’s trying to either home the wrong direction or assuming you have a much larger bed and trying to travel to the center.

Out of curiosity load up one of the models that you tried to print, but this time, in Cura, go to the File menu and select Load settings from gCode and select one of the gcode files from the SD card that you indicated DID print successfully. Then slice the model again, save it back to the SD card and try the print once more.
If that hat works let me know and I’ll explain what happened.
I have the same printer, sometime mine is doing the exact same thing, but to solve the problem i just home the printer before starting a print and the solution worked well for me.
