hey,

guys, I am new in the 3D printing industry how much items can be made with 2.2lb of filament and how I can quote for the services of printing

about 1kg worth of items can be printed. This is a terrible question. The amount of how many of something you can print depends on how big it is and the density of the material you are using.

Hi @geckodna, to put some perspective on keebie’s comment, what you’re asking is like saying “how many things can I make out of 1kg of clay?”. It depends what size things you’re making, whether they’re hollow or solid, or somewhere in-between. Keebie’s quite right, the only logical answer is that you can make about 2.2lbs of “items” from 2.2lb of filament, but how many items that will be can’t be answered.

As far as quoting goes, the best thing to do is to get yourself fully set up here on 3D hubs, then the order process will do the work of quoting for you.

I would say about 14,455 widgets at .03 rupees, as long as your machine has thrust vectoring.

Thank you @cobnut!

If you load a model into your slicer, and set the infill, it should give you an approximate weight. If that is not an option, take a 3d printed part and weigh it.

This will tell you how many you can get from 2.2lbs. You will be surprised!

As for quoting, 3dhubs does that for you. Set your pricing competive to your area, perhaps very competitive when you are starting out!

And your capacitors are fluxing at full capacity …

1 kg = 392 chess pieces, which is about 2.2 lbs.
