Just want to let everyone know that we’ve started a new hackerspace on the westside of Chicago at Bethel New Life, 1140 N Lamon. The goal is to be a place for people in the Austin and westside community to come and learn about 3d printing and some of the new manufacturing technology coming out for the average person. Our other main focus is helping people rapid prototype their inventions in order to help them start businesses. Bethel already runs an entrepreneurship program and some of those students get funneled into the lab. Currently we have 5 Makerbot Replicator 2s but our hours are slightly limited Tuesday & Thursday 12-5pm and Friday 10-6pm. We’ll have more equipment and better hours soon so stay connected.

Well come on April 30th 12-5pm for our Technology Innovation Day!!! We’ll have tables set up with demonstrations and tons of information on technology, manufacturing, and prototyping. Hope to see you there!
