I have had my CTC mk8 printer for a fair while now and out grew the bed 2 weeks into having it as you do. Ive been looking into building a bigger one as a side project and got to thinking about enlarging mine.
I was thinking much like ive seen before with a “(Unofficial) Replicator XL” but would ideally want to go bigger. I was thinking of using my ctc for parts as its already here complete, then extending everything to accommodate a 300mm^2 heated bed.
I was looking into how to adjust the axis size in the firmware/software to accommodate the bigger size and with that kind of thing i have no idea what i am doing. I did see that via makerware you can access the “on board preferences” which does have a axis length inside that, could it be as easy as changing the axis length and writing it to the board once i know how big my new runners and bed are?
