Hi guys, like many others, I’m looking to get into 3D Printing. I’m interested in tinkering with the printer and modding/improving as I go along but I don’t feel confident enough to get a DIY kit. I also have a lot of time at the moment which is why I’m jumping into it.
The printer I currently have my eye on now is the Wanhao Duplicator i3 Plus. Reviews generally agree that it is a great printer for beginners, there are a few issues like the manual calibration needed, vibration, noise etc.
So there are a few questions I need help with,
1) How many prints before calibration is needed and how far do I have to go. For e.g. Do I have to calibrate the bed every time then do a test print before I start printing my stuff
2) For people who are using/have used the i3 plus, how loud is the noise?
3) What alternatives are there to the i3 plus? My budget is below 1000SGD, including shipping.
