I was printing one day and then all of the sudden it just started printing back and forth and I wondered if that was the design so I went to bed. The next day I come to find an odd forward and back pattern and I was really confused. I tried other prints and then found out that my X-Axis wasn’t working. The problem is I don’t know how to fix it. If anybody knows how, I would love help!
What does it do or not do? Does it make odd noises? Check the belt is not loose.
It gets into position, but refuses to print using the axis. It does not make odd noises and the belt is tight.
Probably need to swap cables etc. with the Y axis or use spare to see if anything changes. Contacting QIDI is a good idea if you have yet.
Most of the time when this happens the cause is the X-motor axis wires bending in one place repeatedly and causing the copper wire to break within the plastic wire insulator. Check out check out www.unclechucks3dprinterstuff.com for replacement parts. Also, check out the google groups which goes into great detail on this matter with Duplicator, Replicator and Flashforge style printers.
