Something is wrong with my printer. I select a file to print from my SD card, my extruder and bed come up to temperature like normal. The printer beeps just as if it’s going to begin printing, but then nothing happens. Everything just sits there not moving.
I have tried a different SD card with no change. I have already tried resetting settings to factory. The printer is running Sailfish.
I’m completely lost. The printer was working just fine earlier this morning.
Which Flashforge and what slicer?
Delete everything off the card. Keep file names short with no special characters etc.
When writing the file to the card give it plenty of time to transfer.
If you have the card that came with it maybe try one of the supplied test files.
Try using a model of a test cube - something simple and easy to slice.
Flashforge Creator Pro, using Simplify 3D.
I no longer have the test files that came with the card.
I’ve discovered that the problem is only with the left extruder. The right extruder prints a simple test file perfectly fine.
Ok, in S3D you will need to make sure when you want to use the left that everything is set for left only. On the main edit settings screen select PLA if that is what you are using then over to the right select left only in the drop down. Makes it easier.
Go through all the tabs and make sure everything relating to the extruder is set to left or T1.
Thank you for the help, but I managed to find out what was wrong. There’s some sort of bug with my firmware that managed to change my tool head x offset from 33mm to over 31,000mm! After I manually fixed that, the printer is operating fine. I’ll be reinstalling Sailfish firmware to prevent it from happening again. I think what is currently installed is a buggy flashforge customize version of Sailfish. It will be replaced with a normal copy.
The “normal” sailfish is not what runs on the FFCP. The version it uses has been modified from the “stock” version. It should be version 7.8 from Flashforge. Just an FYI.
I’m fairly confident that the flashforge version 7.8 is what I currently have installed. Are you saying that I must run this version, and not the “normal” one?
The version of Sailfish for the Creator Pro is a customized or altered version from the “normal” or “standard” version you can download from Sailfish. To find out what is different you might check out the google group for Flashforge.

There is a lot of good info and some of the guys that have developed Sailfish contribute there.
