Hello, we are working on a project to create some replicas of the main objects in the exhibition of x museum with the objective of having them available for blind and low vision people to touch, so they can have an idea of what the exhibition is about! This is a very important project and we are very exited! I personally don’t know much about 3D printing, so all suggestions are welcome!

Here I will leave some pictures of the original artifacts, which we would like to replicate in a smaller scale.

Thank you!

Hi, what would you exactly like to know? How to replicate them? Which technologies to use? What would it cost?

Also are you willing to make a project out of this in cooperation with a university? And were is the museum located (just to know if it makes sense for us to get involved in such a project)?

Cheers!

Hello Maria,

Thank you for your interest in having your project printed through 3D Hubs. Please allow me to quickly explain how our platform works. We connect customers who have 3D models that they want to have printed to local individuals/companies who have 3D printers available for printing.

Many Hubs have 3D modelling skills and/or 3D scanning which they offer as additional services next to 3D printing to help you construct your 3D model in .STL or .OBJ format.

If you can tell me your location I can recommend Hubs in your area that offer modelling / scanning services.

Let me know how I can help you further.

Best,
Nahla - 3D Hubs
