I am experiencing a problem with my Monoprice select mini. It has worked like a charm since I bought it 6 months ago.

Today it started a job and went to the start point and stayed there and made a noise but didn’t move. I cancelled the print and homed the printhead and it finished up pushing down the metal plate and stayed in a depressed mode.

I tried to reprint a job, it wanted to print into the plate rather than on it. I checked to ensure it was leveled. Head kept below and I tried adjusting the leveling screws but no luck, the nozzle still wanted to bury itself into the plate. I am unable to lower the front left screw enough to get any clearance.

I had had a few Static electricity jolts in the house due to low humidity and wondered it that may have effected the firmware, so updated the firmware to V41.110.2 just in case. No improvement.

If I had to guess what may be the problem it is that the “Z” lead screw may have skipped a bit thus being lower than it should be, is that possible?

Has anyone had a similar problem or have any suggestions for resolving this issue?
