title says it all. There has to be an updated firmware for the architect printer somewhere. Where might that be?

Probably sailfish. Read the Sailfish Firmware manual to make sure your printer is sailfish, but I am pretty sure it is.
The Knowledge Base document under the Files section of the Monoprice Mini Facebook page has a link to the most up-to-date versions of the firmware, along with instructions for updating it.
