So I have only printing for a few months, and I finally got good results with white pla I bought off Amazon. Finished that roll, heard a lot of good things about hatchbox so I bought a roll of silver PLA 1.75mm. And my print quality has died. Ive tried 190c, 195, 200 and 210. Ive always used 70c on the bed. I print slow at 35mms. Line width is at .4 Infill is slightly higher at .48 because I was getting weak infill. Retraction is 6.5mm at 50, I’m still getting stringing. I’ve printed one benchy with 5 walls sides and top, and one at 3 walls and 5 top and bottom with a .2mm layer height. I use a diicooler mod with the radial fan at 100% I only use a skirt. This silver leaves lots of bumps, and what seems to be missing lines. The top can just be snapped off with little force. Any suggestions? Thanks! Ive done PiD tunes, and tried different settings with this bew PLA and have had bad luck.
I don’t know the printer but I think retraction could be an issue. From what I use it seems really high. Also 2 perimeters is enough for Benchy.
What is the extrusion multiplier set at? Did you measure the filament diameter over 10 feet or so and enter the average?
What slicer?
