Direct Metal Laser Sintering is 3d printing in 100% metal. We use powdered metal and melt it with a 500Watt laser. Just like with plastic, we go layer by layer. Our price for parts is most heavily dependent on height, laser time and material cost are also part of the equation, but the height of the part is most influential. Our system has a roller mechanism that compacts the powder before it is sintered allowing our parts to be the most dense in the industry. We currently have access to Stainless Steel 17-4, Stainless Steel 316, Cobalt Chromium, Inconel 718, Inconel 625, Aluminum, Titanium. More powders are added all the time and we are able to print many more powders than what is listed here. With our partnership with our powder manufacturer, we have the lowest costs of metal powder available. If you or someone you know is in need of any type of powdered metal just let us know. Our parts are 99.99% dense. And we hold tolerances to +/- .003in. Hi

I was carefully following/Looking at your website.

There is no mention of what Sintered Metal - Say aluminum would cost per cubic centimeter of volume.

I do realize that the Sintered Metal items would cost significantly more than the Plastic parts But,

It would be good to at least have a clue.

Since I do not want to waste the time of a company that I surely cannot afford, I did not send them request for quote.

******

I do realize that the volume of the parts will be as completely solid, or with a hole designed in through which

the Unsintered material can be cleaned out of.

******

Thanks

Hey @Additive_NE,

Nice to see more of the metal printing on the platform. It’s a shame that you haven’t been reviewed yet though. If you have any questions at all, let me know

Our cost does not heavy reply on cubic centimeter. It is more about height and laser time. We are able to run various alloys, and yes the cost of the alloy would make the part cost change. All of our parts are 99.99% dense and yes if you had a part that was hollow on the inside, all we would need to do is have a very small hole. Our parts are expensive. A 1in rook with a spiral staircase made in Stainless Steel 17-4 would be $45 if you were to buy 80 of them, but if you were to only buy 1 it would be $90 for the 1 piece.
