As of now, it’s hard to communicate status updates relevant to our hub when users look at it. There’s an about section on our hub, but it’s out of the way and it’s for displaying general information.
My idea is for there to be a “message board” above all images and the printers in hubs where hubs can communicate status updates, like “New filament!” or “Sorry, I’m away! I’ll be back next Wednesday.” (see attached image)
Does anyone else feel the need for this message board?

It could be a message board like you suggested or however you want to call it, the important thing is you can place/post your hub’s current status sort of. Great idea and I definitely feel the need for something like this. It would be an awesome upgrade to 3DHubs.
I think that’s a great idea.
it would certainly make it easier to give our hub a character if it’s own.

I like the idea Mooey, it could show the latest message/notification on the top of your Hub like you suggested. How will we make sure that it doesn’t become a graveyard of old messages though? Perhaps removing it after 10 days?
I actually didn’t think about that @Brian!
I think that it would only show the most recent message for 10 days. If it passes 10 days, then the message board would disappear until the next message is posted.

Sounds good, I’ll put it on our backlog, keep in mind that we’ve fully booked the coming development sprints so it might be a while…
