Slicer software used to prepare files for printing with material extrusion systems (FDM/FFF) allows customisation of the component shell (wall thickness) and infill densities. I am looking for a way to export the configured part back into a CAD format for CAE simulation purposes. Can anyone suggest a workflow other than simply modelling the internal features of the component directly in CAD?
