Is 240 about the max temp you want to use for a PTFE tube style extruder such as in the FFCP?
In my experience , 225 will make the tube last a very long time, up to 235 will work but the tube will char in 20-40 hours of printing.
Thanks, I should have added my reason. I am using extruder cleaning sticks and have found they seem to like about 235-240 to run smoothly through.
PTFE begins to degrade at about 230. So it begins to char rapidly beyond that, in which case it will begin to warp, shrink, and make your prints skip and ultimately clog.
I have my Micro-Swiss all metal upgrades but have not gotten around to installing yet. I need to read up on what to expect and what settings need to change a bit etc.
PTFE is a bit of an insulator, so if you install micro-swiss, you will want to lower your PLA temp some, or you can get filament temperature creep above your break point, causing clogs.
When installing the micro swiss, follow the instructions to the T!
