I needed a cool way to hold the Marvin samples. This is the result.

Can I suggest printing a larger Marvin like you have, only with a series of pores across it’s body big enough for both feet of a smaller Marlin to click into, allowing for a ton of them to be coating the larger Marvin?

I’m sure its very doable. I guess I could write some scad code to auto cut the holes. I’ve seen lots of vases with minimized material but have no idea what software they use. I think the detail of the large marvin would get covered up.

Oh and btw, Marvin is unsanded and painted black for demonstration purposes. It shows the customer what happens if a little bit of elbow grease is not applied.

Here is the the file. This guy is hollow with a bowl on top. Meshmixer supports added but the center is not supported well. So, Make sure you add a few extra supports in the center on the inside just under the bowl.

Thanks man!

Thanks for the awesome share, Craig! We’ve already started printing one on our in-house Big Builder

Cool… Be sure to post a picture

If all goes well, tomorrow morning (Amsterdam time) we’ll see the results
