Hi Hub owners,

I am excited to announce that I am working on a web based analytics tool, Hub Insights which will allow you to manage your hub better and make more profits by providing intuitive graphical insights into:

1. Who are your top costumers.

2. How are they distributed geographically

3. Pie-chart explaining material, color, layer resolution distribution based on your orders

4. Total revenue, average and median order amount

5. Repeat customers and much more…

Analytics report will be based on the CSV file of the orders you received on 3D Hubs. It can be obtained by going to your ‘Orders’ page->Completed tab and clicking ‘Export orders as CSV’ button. You can download the generate Analytics report in a PDF format for a fixed price (to be determined).

You can try Beta version for free here: http://www.myhubinsights.com/

I would love to learn more about what would you like to see in this report so that we can offer you the maximum value in order to run your Hub in the most efficient way and generate more profits. You can send us your feedback and suggestions here: Explore Typeform | Create your own surveys, quizzes, forms

Looks very promising, and it sounds like your startup is going to be aquired by 3DHubs soon.

Looking forward to that if it happens, otherwize I’m not going to share my failing 3DHubs experience with 3rd parties in any ways.

I havent tried it yet but another thing which isnt your sites fault but 3dhubs is some my orders show shipping charges when I know they were pick up orders. Not sure if you do anything with that field of the csv

We use the data in the CSV file as-is, trusting its integrity. You should definitely report it to 3D Hubs. They have resolved some of the problems I faced within a few days time.

I am very interested in knowing problems faced by users. I will be glad to learn what did and what did work for you at 3DHubs. If you don’t want to share it publcily feel free to email me at: pjdixit [at] dixitsystems [dot] com. Thank you!

Try for free means that we have to pay when it is out of beta phase?

It will be free if you have less than certain number of orders (in the proximity of 20 orders. That number is not yet finalized).

If you received more than 20 orders, cost of Hub Insights report will be proportional to number of orders you received in a given year. There will be a nominal fee ranging between $19-$99 for a given year’s report. It is something that hub owners who receive decent amount of orders will pay just once in a year to get some really valuable insights into their hub’s performance.

Thank you!

Thank you for asking that question @keebie81. It is a very legitimate concern for Hub owners. We do not use your information for anything other than generating personalized insights for your Hub like this: http://www.myhubinsights.com/insights?uuid=demo. We take privacy of our users very seriously and won’t be sharing your data with third parties.

Would like to try it for free, but apparently I am blind, and cannot see where to do that!

I am sorry Perry that it wasn’t very clear. You can see demo insights here: http://www.myhubinsights.com/insights?uuid=demo. Ability to view your personal Hub Insights by uploading your orders CSV file is currently under development. Please join our mailing list here: http://www.myhubinsights.com/joinnewsletter to stay updated.

I’ll be more interested in analyzing the competitors in my area rather than my own data based on stats you get from them.

- number of potential customers in the area

- average orders per customer in the area

- average prices per material and/or printer in the area

- popular filaments and printers

And to get this kind of analysis every single Hub needs to subscribe to your service, that’s why I have no interest in it for now, unless (as I said in a previous comment) your service gets acquired by 3D Hubs and offered to the hubs (paid of free, that’s another story), becuse they really lack in gettting this sort of data to the hubs

That is a very interesting suggestion, Jalal!

The question is will the hub owners find value in sharing there own data to understand their competition better.

What do you think Hub owners? Please share your thoughts.

“There will be a nominal fee ranging between $19-$99…”

Seriously? This is ridiculous. No way, never ever.

Bye

I am sorry that it doesn’t work for you, @Joerg_4!

It is a very niche product with very limited amount of potential users: Hubs with minimum of 20 orders. Apparently there aren’t many.

As much as I would like to keep the cost lower, in order to justify development-effort that is the minimum I will have to charge.

If it is not needed by the 3DHub owners community, it will die a natural death.

That being said, I would like to learn what works for you.

Thank you!

I believe in transparency. So I have attached the image explaining tentative pricing.

Pricing seems reasonable to me. I created a similar sheet in excel that does the similar thing. The amount of time I put into it would likely have been a reasonable trade off for 20-30 bucks a year.

Thank you, Perry! I am sure you had fun with Excel!

I always strive to provide enough value so that cost can be justified.
