Hi, my fellow hubsters!

I just picked up a Fusion 3 F306 printer and so I’m selling my MakerGear M2. She’s in excellent shape, a real workhorse that’s highly rated by any standards. She can print to 10x8x8, has the V3B print head, can run off computer or SD card and is the newer version of the printer.

I want to sell her preferably to a 3D printer in the Chicago, southern Wi area who can pick her up as I’d prefer to not box it all up. I bought this printer fully assembled about a year ago so it was professionally built… it was not a kit.

I’m looking to get $1200 for her. The new ones are going for $1800 so that’s a pretty big savings considering it works great.

If you are interested let me know. mark@markbheller.com Happy printing to you all.

Mark

This baby has been sold and now has a new home making it’s adoptive parent very happy.

Thanks.

Hey Mark

could you please tull us about the Fusion 3 F306? It is a pretty impressive piece of kit, but there are hardly any reviews of in on the web.

thanks, Maarten

The MakerGear M2 is an incredible 3D printer and I bought it as my first printer because I wanted something robust as I knew it would get a lot of use. I replaced it with the Fusion3 F306 when I basically outgrew the M2. There is no comparison and the F306 support is second to none. The F306 is rock solid, prints a good 3X faster than my M2 and has dual extruders and can run day and night non-stop and often does. Beyond that, if you have a specific question, just let me know. PS… just for comparison, the M2 cost me about $1800 and the F306 Dual about $5000.

Mark. I’m looking to purchase a quality printer and looked into the Fusion 3 F400. How has your experience been with the fusion to date and would you recommend it? So many choices.

Thanks

I’ve had the F306 for well over a year now and it’s an incredible printer. I can’t say that it hasn’t needed service in that amount of time, it has, but it’s been relatively easy to work on and the company support is second to none. My printer does get used, it hasn’t really been sitting idle in a corner and it’s held up very well.

I had an extruder jam twice, but Mike in support provided me a very simple way to resolve it. Far fewer extruder jams than when I had my MakerGear M2 and much easier and faster to resolve.

I had an extruder drive part crack but again, a relatively easy fix. Recently I had a problem with the table vibrating when raising but once again a relatively easy fix.

If you want the F400 I’d say go for it. I almost did but I decided my F306 is just chugging along like a champ and couldn’t justify taking a hit on my F306 when it does everything I need it to. By the way, I built this enclosure for my F306 and it allows me to run the F306 in colder temps as the inside temp is about 18 degrees warmer than the room. https://www.facebook.com/mark.heller.923/videos/1227921780592691/

Love the enclosure.

Whats are the big differences from the Makergear other than the size and speed. Is the quality that much better and the is the Fusion made better?

Thanks

Less mass to move while printing and only the z axis moves on the bed. No comparison on overall build quality. The Makergear M2 is a great printer for the price though

I just got a proposal from chip at fusion and the printer is 8 weeks out. Ouch.

Yeah, very long lead times cost them sales for sure. They’d be better off hiring temporary help to get caught up because they would sell more printers. That 8 week lead time played into my decision on hanging onto my F306.
