I’m looking for a couple of options in controlling my tool path on my Makerbot replicator 2 (currently using Makerbot desktop software for slicing). I’d like to be able to have the first layer print parallel to the x and y axes (not at the 45° default). Also, for circles, I’d like to find a way to have the extruder move in a continuous circle rather than doing one pass clockwise, stopping and printing the next pass counterclockwise (leaving a giant seam in the print). Is this doable on Makerbot’s stock software or does anyone know a 3d party slicer/gcode generator that would cover those features? TIA,
