Something odd is happening to my model when I send it to print. When I upload my model to Makerbot Desktop it looks perfectly fine however when I send it to print and click print preview it would add another layer on top and totally covers my model and that is how it would print. I don’t understand way. I have changed the quality of printing, played with the infill, played with the layers… it keeps doing the same thing. I have attached an image of the print.

Maybe the 3D model STL is not watertight, do you have a layer view, so you can see how the model will be printed ? you could check in Meshmixer if the model is watertight.

I checked the layer view that’s where I saw that it was adding more layers than it should. I’ve never tried mesh mixer so I’ll do that thank you!

I’ll let you know if that helps.

Thank you so much! I was starting to get a little lost as to what I was doing.
