Hi all,

Been getting consistent great results with my duplicator 4s recently that I have an awful feeling something will go wrong soon!

Anyone nes have any regular Maintanence they perform? All I really do is clean the extruders and nozzles out. Should I be doing more? What’s the best way to make sure the belts are right and to tighten them?

Other than that I can’t think of anything else other than keeping it clean.

welcome any suggestions

I have 450hrs+ on my D4 original (2013) and have had it 2 years… belts are still fine… just need to lube the rods occasionally and clean out the fans for the most part…

I have had a WanHao Duplicator 4 for about 4 years. I have had some minor maintenance issues, but all in all this machine has been AMAZING. This machine was low cost and high performance. It is easy to maintain and is user friendly. I am truly amazed that a Chinese machine operates this well. I highly recommend it to new users like I was. I have used the very expensive Stratasys Elite machines and I think this little wonder compares in performance and quality to that High Dollar Stratasys. My biggest worry is that Stratasys will gobble WanHao up and jack their prices up!

Thanks for the replies. Got to agree it’s an amazing machine for the price, and when you add a fan and sailfish it’s even better!

Will any old grease do for the rods or do you use a specific brand/type?

Super Lube 21010 Synthetic Grease

This is what I have read is the go-to for 3D printers. You can likely source it locally but this is what everyone swears by from what I have read. I bought some and was happy with the results on my D4… little bit goes a long way!
