Hello All!
I’m hoping the experts here might be able to help me out.
I just got my hands on a 1kg spool of PLA and an MP Select Mini and have a few concerns.
Firstly, when I press the home button the printer has no trouble going down/up and moving the bed around but when trying to move the fan assembly to the right all the way it goes to the end and rumbles loudly as if it wants to go further to the right but can’t. I updated the firmware to 200 (not the LCD firmware, though). After it does this, it has no trouble printing the cat that in included on the micro sd card. It doesn’t make any more horrid noises and prints out quite a nice little kitty.
I figured I’d give some other prints a go and tried to make my own, imported the settings of the cat to Cura, and when I try to print the PLA just doesn’t seem to stick. I assume the print head just isn’t going low enough but I’m not sure.
I appreciate all of your advice!
Sounds like your x endstop is busted. Check the connection. Looks like a little prong at the end. It tells the motor it’s at the end and to stop moving.
Hey,
VoidPrints is correct about the extuder issue. As Far as PLA not printing goes try leveling the bed and tinkering with tempetures for the PLA the nozzle and the build plate.

Slicer settings are most likely the cause if the cat printed and your others do not. Make sure the end stops (limit switches) are being depressed when the x, y and z axis are being traversed to their limits. I had my fan shroud off canter one day and it could not depress the limit stop switch on the tower.
