Hi All, I print a work piece as the attached photo. Two protruded surfaces have CURA generated supports with raft but the bottom surface are loosen strands. The print speed have bee tried from 20mm/s to 10mm/s, 185~190 degC nozzle temperature but the result is same.

Moreover, the bottom edge is not sharp but like a fillet.

How can I resolve them,

Regards,

I think the main thing is the support density. For those areas especially circular I think you will want to make the supports much denser or closer together. In other words not so much gap between the support walls. I think what is happening is that as the extruder tries to draw the circle there isn’t enough contact area and it is dragging the filament.

Imagine it trying to draw a circle but with only three contact points like a triangle. The filament is going to try to draw a line between the points of contact. Now, take something looking like a stop sign, many more contact points so the filament will try to go from point to point but in much short distances so it is more like a circle.

When you get issues like this try and get right in there with your flashlight and really watch what it is doing. A lot of times you will actually be able to see what is going on.

One last thing. You might speed up a little maybe 35mm/sec. Temp is ok for PLA but could go up a little to flow better/looser.
