Hi there,

I am newbie in the 3D printing world but I have big desire to make my first machine.

As I like candies and especially licorice sticks, the idea is to create an automated process that can roll some licorice sticks in a piece of paper.

Would you please help me with steps that I have to follow in order to make this project ?

That would be an interesting project to do. However with any project it takes a lot of research and sometimes frustration before something works. Are you looking into making a printer or making the machine printed from a printer? Just curious. This is definitely possible even if you dont know much about automation. You may need to learn a few things such as arduino code which is like C programming in a way to maybe run some servos for feeding and rolling and dumping. Also learning a free or education CAD package is well worth your time if your a maker if you haven’t already! Definitely possible though! I hope this kind of helped!

Before you learn to produce an automated instrument, it is better to learn how the instrument works. Get a DIY 3D printer kit that is in unassembled form. You could assemble it to learn the process and then produce what you desire.
