Hi everyone!

3D Hubs is turning 2 this year, and we’re planning a super cool anniversary party very soon. We’re looking for cool projects around 3D printing that focus on the local, the custom-made and production on demand.

We’re already aware of really innovative ones like the Perpetual Plastic Project so if you know of anything similar give me a shout!

Thanks

Hi Camille,

Check out our profile @umakeprinting on Instagram. We have developed some cool 3D printed products.

Cheers,

it would be very cool to show works but I had to ask to brands cause they are prototypes, it’s really difficult that brands accept to show pre-production objects. I actually have another project that wanna create simply object to product for a new brand, so I join the conversation for a future (around 3-4 weeks) work that probably will create some cool stuff.

Hi my name is Sky and I recently modeled and simulated an independent multi head 3D printer. The next step is prototyping a 4 head design for proof of concept and eventually a larger build using 20 heads. I am seeking someone or group to collaborate on developing software that will equally divide the printing tasks between the heads. A single head occupies ~3x3 inch area and even though they are autonomous, not connected by rods, belts, arms, etc, the software will have to prevent them from colliding with each other. An interesting plus of having independent heads is that when printing at speeds > 1000mm/s, the heads can be programmed to move in somewhat opposing directions to reduce the wobble associated with high print speeds.

Awesome! Thanks a lot

Hey! This sounds really interesting, if you’re looking for a group or more people, you should definetely start a Talk thread of your own with some pictures as well, I’m sure this would be a good way of finding people to help! Which community are you part of?

Sounds like a plan but can’t decide where to post. You’re probably familiar many communities, which would you suggest?
