Hey guys,

Does anyone know of any local places I can get filament from? Buying from the internet is okay but I’d really like to find a place I can buy from and get it at the same time without waiting on shipping. And supporting local makers instead of random chinese manufacturers.

Local as in your same city filament makers can be hard to find and probably need to ask around at your local Makerspace. I get most all of my filament from Fillabot and am very pleased with their quality and pricing of filament. They make all of their filament in Vermont on the same machines that you can buy to make your own filament at home.

This is not a recommendation, but…

Best Buy carries 3D printers and some stores even have filament in-stock (most of their 3D printer stock must be ordered). You need to check your local stores to see if any carry filament. In my area - there is one store in south Tampa that has filament.

Not a guarantee of quality or local manufacture. Mostly they carry the filament from the printer manufacturers. Not to mention that it will cost you more.

Amazon sells filament with amazon prime so shipping would be 2 days max. I order mines from Amazon.com

Printed over 50kg of their product with no jams or problems.
