New to 3D printing and I just received and setup a Monoprice Maker Select 3d V2 printer. The Y axis limit switch is missing the metal spring arm to make it function. I contacted Monoprice, but they want me to return the whole unit for a replacement. They did reference a switch on Amazon made by HICTOP as a replacement. Does anyone know if there is another place to get them, or if these would be fine for the printer? They are in a bundle of 5.

Thanks

Hello,

Those endstops will work fine. Almost any endstop will work. Just type endstop on amazon and you will have a bunch of options. I would suggest one that disconnects at the endstop so if another one goes bad, you can just replace that part and not have to rewire it to the board.

Thank you for the response. I did order the HICTOP package of 5 from Amazon and they are scheduled to arrive today. Then I will have extras in case the others go bad. I cannot wait to delve further into 3D printing.

Go to Fry’s Electronics. They have all kinds of limit switches. They will have a small one for that unit.
