Even though it says that the 3 d print takes jpeg, png, etc, it still asks me to convert to STL. I dont have a way to do that. I am 2 d designer. how to get to stl?

An image has no depth, so 3D printing would not work

Some slicers allow you import a Jpeg and adjust settings to have colours or lines stand out and create a relief from that image, that the printer can print.

look for " lithopanes"

Inkscape can trace an image and save it as a .dxf file then a CAD program can then export a .stl file.

It’s exact that. Some slicing software let you import images, but I don’t really recommend it for anything precise, beause it won’t be. It takes less time to learn how to 3D design than learning how to import JPGs an 3D print them.
