I came across this website and I’m wondering how this could be printed. See link: Iron Man Mark 42 3D Model - 3D CAD Browser or Iron Man Mark 5 3D Model - 3D CAD Browser

Thanks for your help, Kyle.

Hey Kyle,

I’ve had a thorough look at each of the files, but I’d like to highlight that they both look like low poly models, just with materials/ textures used to make them look detailed. It is mainly a smooth body shape with just a few sections extruded, meaning when it is printed there wouldn’t actually be too much detail. On the page there is a 3D button under the previews to the left of the main image, so you may take a closer look yourself. If you were already aware, or still wish to print it then I would say that it is printed with a decent resolution. The size is crucial as well because if it is only a few inches tall then the detail will not be visible. Make sure it is printed large enough so the fingers, arms and legs are thick enough to become rigid as they may snap if they are too small (especially the fingers). To be honest they are both just the same design with different colours used at different areas.

Hope this helps.

I could print that no problemo.

Thanks, I was just wondering how these files were being created and if they were even capable to be 3D printed. Thanks for your help.

That would be cool but actually I am not interested in 3D printing them  If you want to 3D print them and show me how they turned out that would be great!

These files could have been made in various way, just like any other model is created really. If these files are not directly compatible for printing then the file type may be adapted to ensure the file can be printed.

I hope this has answered your question
