Looking at getting a Maker Select .

But have a question I can’t seem to get an answer to for some reason.

I was told that I need to get the V2.1 because it has some fixes to the older version.

But when I look just about everywhere all I see is V2.

How do I know the difference between the two models ?

Has Monoprice started just calling the V2.1 a V2 ?

Because all I see on their website is the V2.

I ordered just a “V2” back in March, and it is definitely a 2.1 - off the top of my head:

- upgraded extruder gear

- thumbscrews for leveling

- build plate is rounded off

- upgraded terminals on the bed heater wires

If you order one now, it’ll be a V2. They didn’t actually make a “V2.1” Product Release, just made some upgrades to the V2.

I ordered mine from Amazon 4 months ago and received a V2.1, so you should be in good shape.

Any you order will be 2.1 at this point

That’s good to hear. I already ordered the plus. But am planning on getting the v2 soon.

I just wanted to be sure I wasn’t getting the older version before I did.
