I got tired of nothing sticking well so I have Installed a glass bed and PEI material, after I homed the extruder to level the bed I noticed the nozzle is way too close to the print bed even with the screws tightened all the way down is there a way to set your z axis a bit higher?

Hey Scott, What type of printer is it? This is usually an easy fix though the answer is dependant on you printer make and model.

Wanhao duplicator l3

As can be seen on the reply above (you won’t receive a notification), it’s a Wanhao printer

Wanhao Duplicator I3

Talk Manufacturing | Hubs There are several solutions in that thread. The most common method on i3’s is to adjust the z endstop by unscrewing it and moving it up. You can also pad the carriage or set a gcode offset and some other solutions.

I just ended up pulling off the build tac, it gave me the room I needed, I am having no luck with black filament, I couldnt get it to print, I put white in its printing great and no lifting so far with the PEI, anyone else have any trouble with black filament? Let me know where you get your black so maybe I can buy some there lol.

I had a friend setup a wholesale account so I could source filament by the case. Availability was causing serious delays. (And I don’t like paperwork) If you want 10+ rolls let me know

As far as PEI and a Glass bed goes, Im only 2 prints in but , OMG… no lifting, no warping parts for my Z axis stabilizing mod came out perfect. I wish I had done this sooner!

also, How much for 10 rolls?

Wall of text answer: It varies by material. My last order was 10 rolls each of PLA, ABS and petg and averaged about $21 a roll shipped to Michigan. Discountpromostore.com it’s under the retail category. *it doesn’t look like the site should be selling filament and it’s not snappy quick. Like I said I got tired of everyone being out of stock and had a friend do all of this as a favor. Oh, and I have coupon codes: Promo Code: miaviator5 — $5 off any order (new customers only) Promo Code: miaviator25 — $25 off 5 or more cases (new customers only) ** I don’t get any kickbacks or discounts if others order or use those codes and this was setup for my shop and others who know what they want not for those wanting to try new filament or find it cheaper.
