I3 not getting to default ABS extruder temp

I can not get my i3 to get to the default abs setting of 245 deg. c on the extruder.

I have used Repetiter and set the PID and saved to eeeprom but am getting temp readouts of 228 to 239

Hello. You have to change the settings in the lcd menu instead. Press the knob, go down and into Configuration-Extruder and change Control to PID. Then change DT/PID P to 9.3, PID I to 0.52 and PID D to 41.9 . Then go back one step and select Store to EEPROM. Then it should work better. Best regards Magnus Creative Tools Sweden

I have a similar problem. The extruder goes to 210-212 deg instead of 215 when preheating / printing in PLA. So the print doesn’t start. If I change to preheat to ABS, the temperature will go up, but again, it won’t reach the target temperature and be ready to print. It only works if I preheat in ABS first, then start the print when the temperature is high enough.
