Hello! I’m new to the 3d printing industry and I wonder what would be the best choice to make when buying a 3d printer for my needs and budget which is 1000$.

I usually model cartoon stuff an artsy farts stuff like in the picture below.

I know there are many type of printers and sadly the better ones that work with resin with lasers and powder with glue are out of my reach but I wonder if there are any 3d printers (the one that work with plastic extrusion) that can have a decent detail resolution decent printing time and decent printing space and to top it all don’t need that much calibrating.

Can somebody help me with some suggestions, please?

Best wishes ,

Hey @hamsterspit, feel free to check out the Budget Printers section in the 2016 3D Printer Guide, we put together based on the collective experience of our community.

These past posts might help as well:

Cheers!

Keep in mind you can place orders and search hubs by printer. So if you narrow down your printer options you could get one of your models printed on each of them and compare the quality. Many hubs will also offer live video feeds so you could see the printers in action.
