Hello everyone!

I plan on finding/purchasing .stl files to print a full-size Iron Man suit/costume (similar to the files found on Iron man MK 7 STL | 3D Print Model AND http://do3d.com/13-3d-printable-print-ready). Can anyone give me an estimate on how much it would cost to print the costume and how long it would take to complete? I am hoping to have it ready in a week, by Halloween. Is anyone able and interested in helping me with this project?

Thank you,

Randy

Randy, cutting it close aren’t we? I would actually just buy EVA foam and go that route. While printing would make sense, realistically it’s a lot of hours to put on a machine and time spent. The pieces would also need to be primed and sanded afterwards which by itself can take a long time. Check out the foam, a lot of Cosplayers use it.

Definitely check out James Brutons youtube channel. There is (nearly) no way to get such a custom printed in one week. The only chance would be if you have all 3d files ready and adjusted to your body and then you’d have to find a 3D printer farm and you should be satisfied with power resolution and very high costs. James Bruton has done some Iron Man cosplays and those needed many months to be completed. If you’re interested in 100% 3D printed cosplays then check out Barnacules Nerdgasm, he 3D printed an entire stormtrooper suit that also was a project for many months (he also got sponsored with a designer that customly modeled the suit according to his body measurements).
