Hi Guys,

Anyone know of hubs in the Philadelphia, PA area (or northeast US) that can print a large object (600mm x 300mm x 300mm or 600 x 600 x 150) in one go on their printer? These are actually the dimensions of doing it in two halves. Overall, the final product would be roughly 600mm x 600 mm x 300 mm

Thanks

Elizabeth

I dont know of any besides a home made machine at that size. The gmax which is fairly big tops out at 16"x16"x21"

Hi Elizabeth,

Large objects that size have a very high risk of failure with a lot of issues, specially for FDM printers, any minor misalignment in the printer makes your model look like pisa tower at the end. Very large surface at the bottom makes it super prone to warp, it has to be printed in a heated chamber, not just using a heated bed. I recommend you to print it at least in 6 pieces (200mm x 150mm x 150mm) and then glue them together. I can break it down in solidworks and print it for you. I live in Maryland. Just Let me know if you are interested.
