I have been reading up on the CTC Formaker.

Has anyone been able to acquire one? where from?
(there’s been quite some… scandal(?) surrounding the company)

Does anyone have an example of Boaty made using one?

does anyone have a test case for the laser & cnc?

I purchased a formaker at the 1500 dollar price. Print quality is awesome and I have used the laser just not the cnc part my advise is don’t buy it there is no support and there only like 100 in the US

I’m in the EU (actually Netherlands is a bit of a Maker’s Mecca). But after a lot of research I couldn’t find enough confidence to part with that much money for a promise.
Big problem for 3d printing and kickstarting generally but with the documented problems they’ve had CTC really need a verifiable supply chain (even if it’s just “fulfilled by Amazon”).

Shame, I liked the idea of hobby CNC; but maybe I’ll design &print one :wink:
