We made a video how to apply the ReCoat Kit!
We have not finalized everything on the ReCoat kit, but this will be the way how to apply it.

Enjoy and feel free to ask us and support us

Somehow the youtube link broke… sorry for that. Here it is:

Well, that’s all very interesting but, you haven’t told us what it is, what it’s for, who you are and why you’re telling us about it. I presume that you’re hoping that people will give you their money. If that’s the case, you should not expect them to make assumptions or hunt around the web before they do so.

Come on, guys. Looks like a good product with lots of potential but you need to put some thought into marketing. For instance, your product will only be of interest to people who have SLA and DLP printers. So, say that. Otherwise you’ll waste the time of 80% of our community.

Good luck with your Kickstarter campaign and the product and congratulations on teaching the world two new German words!

Cheers!

Hey Pot8oSh3D, thanks for your comment. Let me try to give you some answers. First of all, we don’t want to use this forum for digging out our commercial skills  The monetary benefits that arise from our point of view with ReCoat are on the Kickstarter page. We like to keep it technical here. We clearly indicate that the recoating is for SLA printers only (here on 3DH or on Kickstarter or in our tweets @druckwege). We put the threads (this and two others) in the Formlabs forum, which is a reduced user community already dealing with SLA printing. We spotted this talk forum as adequate for placing a supporting help on repairing old vats for SLA printers. Also, as inquired from you, some personal words on DruckWege: we are two German engineers from close to Cologne, dealing intensively with 3D printing for more than 6 years. DruckWege as company was founded last year. We figured the herewith presented solution as suitable, DIY-oriented, pragmatic and cost-effective. Hope this answers most of your questions. Cheers, DruckWege

Hey @sacca93. Thanks for the response. I think that, maybe this highlights a general issue with Talk, or perhaps just the way I use it. Strictly speaking, there is only one forum and everything else is just filters. I intentionally don’t filter any content, so I saw your post even though it had been tagged with “SLA” and so would anybody else who was surfing Talk without filters. A lesson for us both there, I think. In future I’ll keep a closer eye on the tags below the posts. I think my main point is still valid, however - If you want people to use your product, it does no harm to include top-level information with even the most esoteric technical detail as you can never be sure how a reader found the information.

Be that as it may, I really do think ReCoat looks like a good product and I can see how it can save printers money, which is always good. You’ve obviously put a lot of work into the product and I wish you the very best of luck with your Kickstarter campaign.

Cheers,

AndyL
