i was just curious how much everyone is paying for there filament as i may be able to get it for you cheaper

That’s more or less the going rate for eSun. It’s good enough filament. You’ll need a good strong extruder with plenty of grip. I’ve found they often have a lot of crossovers, especially close to the start of the spool and they can cause feed problems. Four wasted prints, each after 5 or 6 hours made me rather circumspect about eSun and their bargain filament.

I find that my clients are willing to pay a little bit more for a quality product, made from quality materials. Can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear, as the saying goes. :slight_smile:

I’ve found a reliable Australian based eBay seller that deliver (IMO) good quality filament for around $25-30/KG but I haven’t checked what brand it is - http://goo.gl/I8586K so I haven’t really thought to look around much since then.

Do people order eSun in Australia, or can it be ordered direct from them internationally? I see that an Australian place called ozreprap is a listed distributor for it but their website looks like a geocities disaster from 1990 and 1KG of ABS is $40 :slight_smile:

Any other recommendations from people here? My first 3rd party rolls of ABS and PLA were from Bilby which were fine and delivered promptly, but similarly around $40/KG
