Hello There community, I just recently purchased a prusa i3 full acrylic 3D printer off of Amazon. After I configured everything, leveled everything, and make sure that all the settings and my firmwhere we’re absolutely correct, I’m still having problems with my prints. One side of my print is always getting smashed, havong the extruder drag through the recetly printed layers, and my printed walls arnt exatly flat pn the sods of my prints after about the first three layers. I think it’s due to my actual print bed not being completely flat, I have tried everything in the book to make it correct I calibrated my XY & Z axis, I’ve leveled it several several times, and much else. if you guys have any input that could help please let me know, thank you.

Is your extruder/hotend assembly secured to the xcarriage or held in place by gravity? Did you level the x assembly on the left and right side? Are the z motor couplings firmly attached to the threaded rod or lead screw and the motor shaft? All three of the above could cause your symptoms. Home the printer, measure the distance from the acrylic plate where the z steppers attache to the bottom of the carriage on each side and make sure they are even. I use Arctic silver thermal epoxy for the extruder assemblies that are not attached to the carriage. There should be 4 set screws in each flex coupling.
