hey I am looking for some info on how i should go about buying my next printer i started off with the first mono-price v2 and i have had a great time using it but, as i go on with this new hobby of mine i am finding i really do enjoy it, but i want to get more in depth with it i want to build my own printer i really want to be able to print larger stuff, i would like to be able to customize and make it my own, but again… im new to this and i dont want to gjust go spending thousands of dollars, i have some money i want to throw at the hobby, so im looking for some help, im not sure if i should buy one for 700$? or should i buy two? i like the tripo HE3D three pole design but im really liking the MAX MICRON R8 can anyone out there help me ??
Both of the designs you mentioned are Prusa i3 based, and because of the sheer amount of designs and plans for building, it is up to you. If you really enjoy sourcing parts and assembling your own printer, by all means go ahead and forge your path to success! But if that isn’t you, I might suggest buying an original Prusa i3 Mk2, which is in your price range, and you would get the experience of building a printer for yourself (from a kit, of course)! If you want multiple printers, one of the printers referred to might be the better options. REMEMBER, it won’t be the end of the world if what you choose isn’t exactly what you wanted. This is the 3D Printing hobby, and each person has made modification to his/her printer to make it fit their needs.
