Hello Everyone,

Here is what happen. I am a semi experienced operator. I have a 3d printer that i have been printing on for few years now. But few weeks ago I some how shorted out my heat bed causing my RAMPS to cook. taking my Arduino Mega with it… not end of the world so I thought. I had another Arduino Mega 2560 and another RAMPS 1.4, so I just replaced them.and fixed the Heat bed. also I thought since I am doing this I will put on an LCD display (reprap discount Full graphic smart controller). so here is the thing I cannot seem to program the Arduino to operate the 3d printer and cant even get the lcd display to even work just shows blue screen.

It has been awhile since I had to use arduino program and Marlin to configure how to run my 3d printer I have lost my touch. and need some help getting the right config to run. seems like everything i do is messing it up even more and its going on a month now that i am not 3d printing …

I am using a Pursa i3 3d printer, trying to use a reprap discount full graphics smart controller. in case someone has this exact setup that can help me setup mine.

Thank you I appreciate all help in advance

I have a few of those and just setup a full discount smart controller the other day. Can you send over your configuration.h? Have you installed u8glib and fixed the many errors (bugs) in Marlin which prevent compiling the firmware when used with this LCD?

Well I have basically thought that a bug was the issue and have started really from scratch and only have the basic configuration.h file that marlin provides. im unsure if the one I have is untouched. I have tried to install the U8glib but not sure if I am installing in the right spot. How do I send the file to you I am sorry but it will not let me upload it on here …

Ah, sorry, miaviator@miaviator.com

You must download the arduino ide and flash the firmware to your mega using the usb cable. You may need to change the firmware settings for your printer first though before uploading.
