Ctc printer developed strange fault out of the blue
when i start a print the scvreen theows up random characters, the stepper will move to roughly the center of the plate grind diagonally for a second then the print will just stop… the screen then resets back to the build, preheat etc… screen
i restored the 7.5 firmware i was on using
repg and even tried going back to sailfish 7.6 but still the same problem!

Try updating the firmware. If not then I would just say double check your files aren’t corrupt (even though that shouldn’t affect it)
Didnt make a difference, i restored older, updated and changed firmwares between the makerbot and sailfish,
will try the power supply test tomorrow without the heatbed
yea try that. I’ve heard that sometimes if stuff happens with faulty text then it usually is the power supply. Also is your LCD fine? Try the power supply, if it’s not that, then try the LCD display
Display is fine, its either the atmega bord its self or something physical
